The first age of the internet connected the world, but ownership remained trapped behind closed platforms. Identity belonged to companies. Value moved through gatekeepers. Builders could create, but rarely control the worlds they helped bring to life.
Brian Armstrong imagined another frontier: an open financial system and an onchain city where anyone could build, trade and own. From that vision, Captain Base emerged, carrying the blue standard and opening a gateway for the next billion people to enter the onchain era.
